More About Me

Earned Masters in Engineering with Computer Science major from University of Missouri, Columbia. Has professional work experience testing E-commerce and Banking applications. Worked on Data Science and Machine Learning, Web Application development as Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at university

Howdy!

I worked in different roles through my career in both academic and professional life.

I have been doing web application development using ReactJS, ASP.Net MVC 4.5 and Python Flask for fun and to be up to date with new web frameworks.

As a teaching assistant, I used to support teaching courses at Mizzou's Data Science & Analytics executive Master's program.

It was fun and a great learning experience while teaching. Every student being an expert in their own industry, some even with decades of experience contribute to interesting and in depth discussions.

Students want to solve challenges in their respectives industry using vast amounts of data at hand by applying the technologies and Data science concepts they learn in the program.

Smart Video Streaming

Web Development

The SDN controller is programmed for intelligent video streaming to improve quality of user experience. SDN architecture decouples the network control and forwarding functions enabling the network control to become directly programmable and the underlying infrastructure to be abstracted for applications and network services.

Thermos - Bookmark keeping

Web Design

Thermos is a bookmarks keeping app to save and manage user's bookmarks. The app is built entirely using Flask framework and Javascript following a step by step tutorial in Pluralsight course

NMF Topic Modelling

Machine Learning

NMF technique is used for topic modelling of New York Times news articles. Python libraries Scikit-learn and Numpy were very handy while working on the project.

Protein Classification

Machine Learning

P53 Protein is a tumor suppressor gene in the genome when it is active, however when it is inactive, tumor cells can reproduce uncontrollably. Certain other proteins can help "turn on" the P53 protein, making it active. This project aims at identifying and classifying the helping proteins.

Character Recognition

Implemented KNN algorithm to recognize written characters. Written characters were predicted with 82% accuracy, whereas font characters were predicted with 85% accuracy
